Great machine by Cooperstown39 on amazon.com Apr 29, 2012
The combination of lightweight yet large enough screen make this an ideal laptop for traveling. I have not yet stressed the battery life but a first go around looks like it will be approximately 5 to 6 hours. The keyboard works well for touch typists ...

Excellent truly portable laptop with a big enough SSD by D. Tsai "Hardware Guy" on amazon.com Apr 9, 2012
If you want a truly portable laptop (< 3 lbs) and has a big enough usable disk space (240GB SSD), this is the one for you. I was considering to buy a Macbook Air but a comparably-equipped model would cost $1,600! I was also considering the Acer 6646 model, ...

cheap c**p by Gregg on newegg.com Mar 25, 2012
I have a Dell 6420 and a MacBook. Both survive normal use in flight. I have done much worse to the Dell and it keeps going. Stay away from anything made by Acer.

A poor speaker and a bad listener by Angie Boyter on amazon.com May 17, 2012
I bought this to serve as a nice light computer that can go with me wherever I want. That includes my porch and bedroom, places where my previous laptops have had no problem connecting. The Acer connection in both rooms is so weak it keeps losing connectivity. ...

Junk, stay way by L. Liu "linda_w_liu" on amazon.com Feb 22, 2012
If you are ready to trash it in a few months, go ahead. Otherwise, run away. It is cheap because it is cheaply made.

I bought it for work (I travel and edit) its light design and power was too good of an offer to pass up...Overall I'm happy with this laptop...The speakers are barely loud enough to be able to play a movie/TV show on it and have enough juice to make it sound good...

Newegg.com - Acer Aspire S3-951-6828 Ultrabook Intel Core i5 2467M(1.60GHz) 13.3"...
Dripped a little juice on the touchpad during a flight and it rendered the touchpad useless...Screen has a very good resolution, nice to look at...Removed some of the typical bloatware, not too bad though...
