I LOVE my new netbook, the size and feel is just right for me (a woman), easy to carry around and work with...I don't use the quick connect button on the left since I don't game, gamble, watch videos, listen to music...I do skype and I can do that going in the other way...

Most Netbooks are built around providing maximum value--packing a standard set of low-power components into a cheap plastic shell designed to attract price-sensitive consumers...Asus smartly adds a few upgrades to its very attractive Eee PC 1008P, with a unique body credited to industrial designer Karim Rashid...The 1008P has 2GB of RAM, double the typical amount, and a large 320GB hard drive, along with Windows 7 Home Premium, instead of Win 7 Starter...That said, the extra RAM is something we're always looking for in Netbooks, and the overall design is probably the coolest we've seen on one of these systems...

This little netbook is fast, great visuals, wifi is excellent, just a handy little computer to move around...battery life is very good, Windows home premium is well handled by the processor...No regrets as yet! I really wanted the red cover, but this one is quite elegant...

Comments about the design and battery are generally positive...The portability and performance are also mentioned favorably, whereas there are some negative opinions about the screen and value for money...Available for only 24 hours, or until supplies run out...

It's very stylish and shiny! And the fact that it has 250GB hard drive for a netbook is fantastic! (Usually it's a 160...I am not aware of any bad points...design, robust casing and overall look and feel, very slim like a handbag, SD card reader, keyboard once all windows upgrades are downloaded, performance really slows down...

Positioned as a designer netbook, the 1008P is a mixed bag of specs -- it has got the now-typical Intel Atom N450 processor, boasts 2GB of RAM and larger 320GB hard drive, as well as a disappointingly small three-cell battery...So, are the 1008P's slimmer body and eye-catching design enough to make you shell out $100 more than the typical netbook...Involving a top designer in the look of the 1008P was nothing but a good move in our opinion...The rest of the standard netbook ports are laid out along the edges, though the 1008P only has two USB ports rather than the typical three...

I have the UK edition of the 1008P-KR here, and I must point out that the specifications vary from that of the US model...The Asus Eee PC 1008p Karim Rashid is available in two colors, the model I have here...The Asus 1008P-KR certainly stands out from all the other netbooks on the market with its unique patterned / textured design by Karim Rashid...There is a single rocker type button which provides good feedback and is nice and quiet...

The Asus 1008P looks elegant and is slimmer than most of the netbooks out there...If you are a lady, I would recommend getting the fascinating “hot pink” color...Without a doubt, I would recommend this to the college students or anybody who does a lot of typing on-the-go...
