These speakers do create sound, but when compared to my mitsubishi speakers from 1984, they sound very tinny and hollow. the sound is not rich and not very pleasant to listen to if you're used to something better.

Unless we have bobcats who like High School Musical we should be in good shape...They are short on bass response (they are not ported), but they make up for it with clear, crisp highs and good mids...For a "cheap speaker" they sound very good...
