This is my second Brother MFC. I had my other one for (mfc-420cn) for about 10 years without a problem. Just recently has it given a few minor problems. I can't complain. I researched a lot of other MFC's out there and just still couldn't beat the features of the Brother.

i like the touce sceen i fine it very usefully as it's very clear to read what's going on that only bad point is it dosen't allow for more ring's on the telephone side of things apart from that it's spot on...Hardware is good quality, apart from sheet feeder tray...Wireless is excellent Linux drivers out of the box are faulty - photo prints do not work with CUPS...

Compact Design Easy To Setup Easy To Use Reliable It works well as the usual printer (a bit slow, but looks good), scanner (to pdf is very useful), copier (again, not fast be fine for home or very small office), faxes just fine, and takes phone messages...For some reason most "All-in-One"s aren't all in one and don't have that phone answering machine capability...My second model from Brother (first lasted 5-6 years) who's always been pretty good on the taking care of customer side...
