Love it! by Manchester on amazon.com May 22, 2012
I purchased our wireless router because I was tired of being stuck in my office when I wanted to use my laptop. I was absolutely surprised at how easy it was to hook up. I did however, jump ahead in the directions and had to call Buffalo customer support. ...

Excellent router without DDWRT by netguy10 on newegg.com Apr 25, 2012
I can assume that someday Buffalo will publish a DDWRT firmware that resolves this. That isnt' V24-SP2 build 18289. I also tested with V24SP2 17798 Alpha with the same results as both were published on the support site. Buffalo is a good company. They will figure this out.

Great little router, better than expecte by geekor on bhphotovideo.com Jul 15, 2010
Replacing and old and broken Belkin router for our workplace. We have 2 Linksys routers on other ends of the building (one is for outsiders to use). This was harder to setup than the Linksys, but the reception and speeds are actually better! Worth ...

Robust DD-WRT Router by imsureitsfine on amazon.com May 21, 2012
Picked this up to extend my existing Airport Extreme network. Out of the box the existing DD-WRT firmware didn't function properly with my network configuration. Buffalo router had issues joining my network with WPA protection enabled. After upgrading ...

Amazingly powerful by Nethack on amazon.com Apr 27, 2012
This router is top notch. Ships with DD-WRT installed (though it has an option to switch to less-advanced firmware). I generally keep around 300-400 connections open to the WAN, and that push the RAM utilization to around 30%. This is overkill for a ...

Worked for 16 months then quite. by Jay Biddle "Gun Weasel" on amazon.com Jul 3, 2012
Worked great for 16 months, range was ok. Was purchased March 15th of 2011 and quite this week. No lights at all! Check power supply and it was correct voltage. Tried reset and nothing has worked. I threw it in the trash and got a new Belkin local at ...

Poor wireless performance and stripped down WRT DD firmware - DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY by N/A on newegg.com May 25, 2012
There are reviews online about this router and I wished I'd read them. I have used previous Buffalo routers and put WRT DD firmware on with no hassles. This version initially attracted me because WRT DD came pre-installed. I have been unable to update ...

Brilliant - but then, very concerning by Adamici Manicotti on bhphotovideo.com Nov 10, 2011
I've only had this router 2 weeks. It's attractive, super easy set up for Apple users, powerful and much faster than the D-Link it replaced. So it was total joy until I noticed the WiFi signal disappear about every 30-45 minutes. The signal returns in ...

VERY unreliable by eye_scream on amazon.com Apr 24, 2012
I have owned this router for over a year now, and its performance has been very unstable the entire period of ownership. I tried different settings, I tried calling the tech support, but nothing seems to be helpful - at any random point it just drops ...

Horrible Hardware! by VyReN on newegg.com May 24, 2012
I've tried flashing different versions of DD-WRT with the exact same results. Once the hardware starts to fail you're out of luck. And my experience has been 30-32 days and the unit begins to fail. Reboots are required more and more often as time goes on. Useless garbage.

Buffalo Nfiniti Wireless-N Essential High Power WHR-HP-G300N B&H
DD-WRT inconsistent I wrote the last review, but from another location and can't edit it - so here's the update: I followed Buffalo tech support's instructions and flashed to their "user friendly" interface...I now have a mostly stable router, without signal dropouts...I would recommend this router to anyone wanting to set up a wireless network...

Buffalo Technology Nfiniti Wireless-N Essential High Power Router & Access Point...
Overall, I recommend this product, especially for the price...More specifically, it would work for a few minutes, even when all the routers were very near each other, but inevitably the "client" routers would drop the connection and freeze up so bad they had to be rebooted...Bottom line, I think this router works very well if you're not trying to set up SECURE wireless bridges...

Easy to set up; all wireless types supported; good wireless range; full security options offered...AOSS feature has limited usefulness; no fast wired networking...Buffalo’s Airstation Nfiniti HighPower Wireless N Router and Access Point (or just plain old WHR-HP-G300N to its friends) falls into the latter category and is best put to good use as a wireless upgrade to a network that already has a broadband connection or an existing wired-only router...It can...
