Good wifi router for money by iPod Mania on amazon.com Apr 23, 2012
I purchased this product to replace an old DSL wifi router for a small after-school program about 4 months ago. So far, no one complains about the wifi performance. It just works fine without any issues like dropping connections or freezing. The range ...

Excellent purchase by AberrantCheese on newegg.com May 3, 2012
My network: DSL modem -> this router -> couple of PC's, PS3, DirectTV box (all wired), with an old Airstation router (flashed with Tomato firmware) out in the shop set to 'bridge' over to this one. 2 smart phones using the wireless. I had trouble for ...

I love it! Blocking most advertising! by BabyBoomBBQ on amazon.com Jan 10, 2012
Fixed WiFi problem at my parent's place. Attached a 8GB USB thumb drive and it recognized it right away. NAS function works great. Bottom line, it exceeded my expectations. I have one installed at three family homes. I even played with the DNS service ...

Great Signal Strength - Not the best UI for set-up by Joshua White on amazon.com Dec 15, 2011
The signal strength and speed of this router is great - and the range is spectacular. My only grip was during set-up. I'm pretty technical, but I had issues understanding everything during set-up and it took me longer than I anticipated to get everything ...

Unstable Router by Sean Schick on amazon.com Feb 10, 2012
When I first set up the router, things worked great. For a bit. Then it wouldn't hold a connection to my cable modem. Based on posts in Buffalo's forum, I moved from the pro firmware to the user-friendly firmware. That worked better. But when setting ...

really disapointed by alsonot on newegg.com Mar 22, 2012
I feel lied to. This piece of hardware sucks, job 1 is run the wireless network, and right now it doesn't do that well enough. Forget any discussion of range, if I can't get through a TV show worth of surfing, it's junk. This review is as of March ...

Fantastic for a day and then the WZR-HP-G450H froze up. by Dave Lozier on amazon.com Jan 25, 2012
Pros - The factory firmware provides an easy to navigate, informative user interface. It is one of the nicest I have used for configuring a router/access point. Adding static routes was easily done. Port forwarding was a snap. Wireless setup was quick ...

Poor Range & Power by Mary Hughey on amazon.com Mar 18, 2012
This unit is advertised as high power with high gain antennas(3). A simple A/B range comparison with my $29 Linksys from Walmart showed the Linksys unit slightly better range. Even after increasing the output power (which really does not seem to increase ...

Buyer BEWARE!!! by Afgeek on amazon.com Dec 25, 2011
Stay away from this router. Bought it to increase my wireless range & for the dd-wrt pre-installed however my wireless connection dropped a minimum of 3 times per day, then reset itself. I have never had this happen on any other router I've owned. ...

I cannot recommend this unit at this time, if your intention is to run DD-WRT (which is pre-installed on the unit and necessary for certain advertised features...If you are looking for long-range wireless, I highly recommend you try this router...Overall, a waste of about 4 times the cost and the hours of experimentation...

Newegg.com - Buffalo AirStation High Power N450 Gigabit Wireless Router & AP - WZR-HP-G450H
No pros for a piece of equipment that doesn't work...The speeds are about 10 MB/s read/write (as reported by Teracopy.) Overall, I'm pleased with this router, even if it did take a week or so of fussing with the settings to get it just right...the DD-WRT pro feature is really good NOW...

Buffalo WZR-HP-G450H review | Wireless routers | Reviews | PC Pro
It’s a bizarre way of going about things, but at least it’s easy to do...Nevertheless, if you’re prepared to tinker, and you value range over the avoidance of 2.4GHz congestion, it’s a very good option...I've found that internal antennae often result in poor coverage...
