This is a perfect sized speaker for a kitchen table, office or desk yet pumps a good amount of sound. There is distortion at the very high end, but much less than say your average "boom" box. The ease of bluetooth set up is amazing, AND it stores up to 8 devices in it's internal bluetooth memory.

I was so excited when I saw this speaker...until I read it had to be PLUGGED IN!! When is Creative Labs going to come out with a portable, RECHARGEABLE speaker? Arrgh!!! The electrical outlets in my house are NOT convenient to get to. I doubt that it's much different in most homes.

It pairs easily to bluetooth sources (phone, tablet), has good volume range (although this is not the speaker to choose to blast tunes at a keg party), and reasonable frequency response for the cost...But it has very good sound for the money...You have to be near AC power...
