I had to upgrade firmware, but works great with Huawei E226 3G modem...It does not yet work as of December 31, 2010 with VZ 4G...The only reason I rated 4 out of 5 for features is because it only has one ethernet port...

customer service did respond and tried to help in their capacity the examples used are all for non-us contries and while their tech support was willing to work they are still difficult to understand and apparently have a time line to assist...I have no idea if the actual product works but I am able to use it as a wireless router minus the internet (USB data card) if I choose to do so...so, you can expect to spend more that intended if you dont do this...
