This is our third Denon receiver purchase, none has been disappointing. This newer model isnt as quirky as its predecessors the controls are more straight-forward and sound is terrific. Vanns shipping and updating by emails was perfect as usual.

I LOVE this receiver!! It boasts terrific sound and is easy to operate. It was also a fabulous bargain, so what is there not to like? Oh, yes, there is oNE thing: my neighbor really struggled hooking everything up b/c there are so many features.

The receiver worked great while it was under warranty. Three months after the fact, it died. I sent it to a repair shop for repairs. The diagnosis was a short in the system. They repaired it. Three months later it died again. Sent it back ... same diagnosis, ...

The company I work for invested in 25 of these..... in a little over a years time, 8 of them are already bad and another is showing signs of malfunctioning, (3 of them went bad within the first 3 weeks). Reminiscent of the red ring of death found on the XBox 360. Very bad investment.

I've had nothing but trouble with this receiver. At no time did all the features work, something was always malfunctioning. The remote and front panel seem to work at cross purposes, and the user manual is worthless. There are few functions still working ...

Overall the sound is very pleasing; the bass is palpable and detailed, the highs are clear and smooth...The detail at low volumes is impressive, which in my opinion is what distinguishes a good amplifier from one that's just loud...Can't say enough good things about this receiver...
