This device doesn't have a Trigger out port... Basically it cannot control an electric\powered screen. I have to buy an adaptor for my screen & hardwire a wall switch what a pain in the "backside". Every other model has this "basic" Trigger out port. ...

I've had my epson 3010 for a few weeks now, and I believe I've reached the point where I'm familiar enough to put together a good opinion with a few backing facts...I'm coming from another projector that's rated at 2800 lumens (optoma pro350w), and this thing blows it out of the water for brightness! For image quality - I'm not a trained critic, but it does look exceptionally good to my untrained eye...That's the good news, but there's a down side there......

Those preferences color their judgement, and when they have to make a conclusion, it's no surprise to see them fall in line with the projector that best fits their preferences...What it says to me is that if you want good 3D skip the Epson, which is exactly what I'm going to do...I presently own an Epson 7500 and 9500 so I was hoping Epson got 3D right, but obviously it hasn't unless they've done some extra work on the 5010 -- I can't comment on that, but I think neither Panasonic or Epson projectors are worth an upgrade for me...I would go with the 8700, but the 5010 is much brighter in best mode for my 135" screen (larger when I go to 2.4 AR...
