Garmin Forerunner 410

The watch itself is very good, all the functions are useful and the integration with connect.garmin.com is easier than I expected...The watch went from >50% charge to none in a matter of minutes even though it should last for 8hrs of training overall...With the 410 not only does the cadence sensor work, it is backed up with GPS, and it also works indoors on exercise equipment...

The Garmin 410 was released in November 2010...The Garmin 410 retails for $324.99 and if you want one with a heart rate monitor the price is $374.95...In conclusion, I'm rather disappointed that after two years Garmin has not released a new product...The size of the Garmin 405/410 does not bother me, I wouldn't mind seeing it a tad smaller, but I think for women a smaller GPS watch could really boost sales...

So, when word came out that Garmin was releasing the 410, essentially an upgraded version of the 405, I was intrigued...There's also a few other differences, such as you can completely power down the 410 and apparently you couldn't with the 405, but apparently not too much else of great significance...So with the timing of my 305 dying and the new release of the 410, I decided to give it a shot...Overall, I'm very happy with it, but I do have a few criticisms...It's listed at eight hours with the GPS on (two weeks with it off) but apparently it's really around seven hours on a good day, according to other reports...
