Works great, with was enabled tracks within 10-20 feet or a little better. easy to use with free base camp sofware. I got one with only the base map. got a lot of free topo maps from gpsfiledepot.com loaded them up. I added a memory card, found that if ...

Much improved over Garmin 60 cs by Robert W. Wernerehl "Bob Wernerehl" on amazon.com Jun 30, 2012
I had a Garmin 60 CS purchased in 2004 that just never got good satellite reception unless out in the open, with no trees around, and even then it took it's time. I've had the 62s now for a few weeks and it works great, much faster at getting the signal, ...

Amazon please stop selling this junk. by Michael Enke on amazon.com Jun 11, 2012

I bought the 62s after owning the 60CSx for years. I was very happy with my 60CSx. I thought when they improve this device what a GPS it will be. Faster, more powerful, better mapping screens, can't wait. Well my 60 finally died so I went and bought ...

Amazon.com: Customer Reviews: Garmin GPSMAP 62stc Handheld Navigator
I have no trouble recommending this unit at this point! I purchased the 62st recently and took it out for a 9 mile geocaching adventure...Until this issue is resolved sadly I cannot recommend the Garmin 62s or 62st...If you update your unit to the new firmware level, I have no problem recommending it...
