The pics aren't perfect with the color saturation but they are good...None of the built in software did me any good as I run 64-bit Vista and Windows 7 RC...So overall I liked this enough to ditch the PictureMate and although its not perfect print wise I would say if you are looking for a compact 4x6 or 5x7 photo printer with Bluetooth this one should work well enough for what it is...

Once you see the photo quality and cost per print, however, the Photosmart A646 is no longer so endearing...The good news on the driver software is that the installation is supposed to start automatically as soon as the printer is connected to your computer via a USB cable...As it turns out, the printer is actually seen by a computer as a storage device, but the HP Photosmart A646 is set to default to drive letter G:, which, in our case, happened to be the same drive letter assigned to our DVD drive...The base price of the HP Photosmart A646 is the same as for the Canon Selphy ES40 and Epson PictureMate Charm: $149.99...
