Marvelous receiver for a great price by Ann J. on vanns.com Jan 7, 2011
I was looking for a 2 channel receiver to connect to two Alison Six speakers and an Energy 8 woofer for my TV set up. This receiver was simple to connect to my system and delivers wonderful sound. The remote is very straight forward. The two switched ...

2 Channel Audio Done Right by grantd on epinions.com Oct 24, 2008
Summary: I am an old HK fan from the 80's and when my 460i finally started to lose one channel of the amplifier, I naturally looked around to see what was out there in 2-Channel. Really came down to a NAD, Outlaw and this HK 3390. Unfortunately, not many choices ...

Perfect for those on a budget (and those not on one) by spendstoomuch on amazon.com Apr 24, 2012
From what I've noticed in the audiophile world, more $$$ means better sound. Often though, and especially in the case of the HK 3390 receiver, that is not the case. I opened up my receiver, plugged my LP turntable and DAC music player in, and it played ...

Over the years, for one reason or another, I've been a Sony devotee and it took quite a leap of faith for me to branch out and buy this Harman Kardon stereo receiver after decades of using only Sony gear. I was looking for a dedicated stereo receiver ...

Not What I Was Expecting by Eywa Dude on amazon.com Jun 27, 2012
I bought this receiver to replace my vintage 1978 Luxman L-30 integrated amp. This HK3390 was meant to be a stop gap between my old Luxman and the system I really want. Since I don't have the money for that at the moment, I decided to give this amp a ...

Sounds like what it is: by D. Cooper on amazon.com Sep 15, 2009
An inexpensive stereo amplifier. I had previously been listening to music through a Dynaco ST-70 - a mass-produced stereo tube amplifier kit from the 60s. Hardly a high-end piece of equipment, but it sure blows this Harman Kardon away! No comparison! ...

Amazon.com: Customer Reviews: Harman Kardon HK 3390 80W Stereo Receiver
I came to the conclusion after having a H/K theater receiver before that I did enjoy the sound enough to try another one as a two channel set-up...This is a real problem since best results are achieved not just by selecting a good receiver and good speakers, but by hearing how they work together...100 watts always seemed like a good target...

Harman Kardon HK3390 Black 2-channel stereo receiver | Vanns.com
I tried to use as an overall remote first a Comcast remote and then a Universal remote...Pushing through Bose 601s and it sounds great! The HK3390 has a good FM tuner and generally clean sound, especially in the treble range...Now I can listen to my alternate TV with as good a sound as the re-modulated signal from the DVR gives me...
