The plastic bezel is textured to look like black aluminum and the controls are on the front and they are capacitive...The picture quality out of the box isn't as good as the TV is capable of, you have to go into the settings and change the picture mode to get the optimal quality...This TV goes on sale from $399 to $299 and if your lucky you will catch it on another sale for $270 (which I did) so It's a great bargain and I highly recommend one for someone getting a 32" Flatscreen...
