I was looking for the best home theatre sytem I could put together at a reasonable price. JBL has always had a great reputation. The ES150P powered subwoofer is comparable in sound, power and quality to much more expensive units. This was money well spent.

Better fix than the cost of shipping it back for a replacement or manually turning it on and off with the switch on the back, but it was a disappointment for a JBL product...Attractive Design Easy Setup Great Sound Quality My father-in-law (Audiophile!) recommended JBL...I wasn't wrong! It delivers! I mainly use it for DVD play back, but I'll also play a PS3 game and watch the odd bit of good TV and this JBL subwoofer furnishes the room with excellent bass sound! Good design...
