I hooked up the TV with component inputs from my oldish DVD player, and it looked very good...The TV picture can be adjusted to your preferences, but I found the default settings good enough for me...It is Energy Star rated, which is good, but I found the "intelligent sensor" adjustments a bit too dark for me...

We have another Vizio and it works great and if something happens to your Vizio they are good to work with and they make sure you get a new TV...The tru motion is awesome and does take some getting use to but overall, you cannot go wrong with this TV or any LG model...And I purchased a 3 year warranty from Walmart which doesn't take affect until the 1 year warranty is over, what good is a 3 year warranty if my TV doesn't work for a year...
