Got my G575 on sale at a local big box electronics retailer (in Renton, WA) for a CRAZY cheap price. best $300 I ever spent! Even at the full price it's a great deal! When I saw today's Shell Shocker on 16GB of RAM I jumped on it after testing the 16GB from my MacBook Pro.

Bottom line: this laptop is a steal. As soon as I got it I installed 8GB of RAM and the 120GB SSD from my girlfriend's old dead laptop. Always the rule: SSD and maxed out RAM = increase in battery run time and better performance.

I needed something cheap, and this seems to work just fine for the price I paid for it. don't expect anything special from this laptop. I haven't tried gaming or anything. I experience a lagged response when typing in a browser, but that might be an Internet Explorer 9 problem.

I liked it for the first 2 weeks- until it broke down. The computer is supposedly new- though who knows if sellers fib a little on that... The hard drive has a problem and I'm having to send it in for repair. FYI: Lenovo does not pay postage or ensure ...

The fan is very loud. 5-10mins later, the unit is getting hot. I returned it to Amazon and order an ASUS. I have tried several Lenovo low end notebook. very bad quality. will not buy it again.
