Lightening Fast ! by Robert W. Wissinger on amazon.com Jul 6, 2012
I had issues with my old router not being able to get a signal across my house let alone getting any type of speed to download information. Just got my new Linksys......WOW!!!!! What a huge difference!!!!! The unit was easy to install and updates went ...

Excellently Powerful Home Networking by The Cheat on newegg.com Jun 10, 2012
Originally got a WRT120N as an "upgrade" from an ages-old WRT54G. It fell well short of my expectations, so I decided to shell out for a true fully-featured home networking router. My choice to go with the E4200V2 has not disappointed. The E-series LinkSys ...

Rock-solid router performance! by corffer on cnet.com Jun 30, 2012
Was one of my favorite routers to-date (just recently upgraded to the EA4500). I noticed most of the negative comments are from folks wanting to slam their own firmware on the router, or have some nostalgia about the old rabbit-ear antenna models. I ...

For speed and performance, Linksys is the best by GVArizona on bestbuy.com Jul 3, 2012
This remains the best Linksys of many I have owned over the years! Well worth the price. You DO get what you PAY for with Cisco and Linksys 4200!

Does what it promises by PeterUbers on amazon.com May 14, 2012
I recently retired a WRT120N Linksys that died on me -- and this replaced it. It made all my wi-fi peripheral work flawlessly again, and improved connectivity and wi-fi startup on devices like laptops that go to "sleep." The range leaves something to ...

10% of the speed of my old Linksys WRT54G by russpalmeri on cnet.com May 8, 2012
You may have a different experience, but this was a big loser for me. Thanks, Amazon, for your return policy. For $200 it should work out of the box. This one hardly worked at all, even with a nearly complete change of settings. Save your money and get something else.

AVOID AT ALL COST!! by Dwayne R. Holmes on amazon.com Jul 7, 2012
Purchased 7/3/12 everything worked except the wireless laptop, so I called tech support. However, mind you I had a 90 day warranty. What they don't tell is your warranty useless. Moreover, you must pay $79 - $100 to connect your wireless items. In addition, ...

Does not live up to linksys / Cisco name! by DoctorB1 on bestbuy.com Apr 21, 2012
I am very well versed in networking and wireless technology. The claims that are made by the manufacturer are not delivered by the product. The speed is all over the map as in not consistent. It constantly drops the connection. Mine constantly tries to ...

Constantly drops connectivity by N/A on newegg.com Apr 6, 2012
The Linksys E4200v2 wireless router drops connections frequently and without any pattern. It occasionally drops everything: internet connection and all connected devices. Or it will just drop connectivity to a few devices, perhaps one or two computers, ...

Don't waste your time or your money unless you are a novice user looking to get a plug and play router that no one will ever re-config or need to mess with, that has decent range and speed. SEVERAL important features missing from this hunk o crap. Where ...

I've been fortunate that none of the bugs have been show-stoppers for me, but I wouldn't recommend this router with its current firmware (2.0.36 as of the time of this writing...Overall, it is an incredibly powerful router that would be a plus to have for common use or if one is proficient with networking to take advantage of all of the options...Overall, is probably the fastest router in the market and so far has had a good experience with it...

Excellent throughput...Flawless setup...Good management interface...Nice performance as a light NAS....Some drop in throughput with distance...Router bottom gets hot to touch after some uptime....That's a good thing, too because the E4200 is perhaps the most stylish consumer router available...A ratcheted-up processor, tweaked software and a flawless setup process makes the E4200 a router that delivers power to even the most technically clueless of users...Make...
