Good router, not so good power adapter by DougS on newegg.com Jul 10, 2012
I have sold at least 200 of these routers which work great with Tomato firmware. Tweaking the wireless power from the default value to 150 significantly increases range. Over the past 7 months I've had two units that have been resetting intermittently. ...

ddwrt / tomato! by deon on amazon.com Jul 6, 2012
obviously works right out of the box with linksys' firmware; but works so much better with tomato firmware and ddwrt. (both firmwares have their +'s and -'s so do your research!) great routers! fyi - if you are planning to increase the signal strength ...

Works great with open-source firmware by rafe on bhphotovideo.com Feb 14, 2012
I had to replace an old router & had read about how this Linksys could use an open-source firmware called Tomato to run more efficiently. The price was right, too. I don't have a special need for the latest and greatest -- Wireless-G suits me just fine. ...

Don't buy this [*] by ee on radioshack.com Aug 16, 2010
Cisco (Linksys) doesn't service this anymore, unless you buy their troubleshooting service package after the warranty. They won't let you access the settings on the website if you get a new modem. They try and sell you a new one instead. Their service SUCKS!
