Great unit for the price by megps on bestbuy.com Apr 22, 2011
This is a great gps with features that no other gps in this price range can compare to. Nice touch screen, lots of memory, 32 gig micro SD slot, easy meus, the best paperless geocache functions, very accurate. But..You must update it if it has been on ...

Cabin Fever and Anxious Anticipation by rhymegirl34 on amazon.com Feb 15, 2010
Alright, cabin fever has been driving me crazy and has led me to start going through all my hiking gear in anticipation of Spring hiking weather. As part of that, I finally broke down and bought my first GPS online - the Lowrance Out&Back. I didn't ...

Easy use by gsk on amazon.com Apr 30, 2011
Works great and the large touchscreen is easy to use. Also, has very large print, so I don't need my glasses. Touchscreen response / screen rendering is a bit sluggish, but very acceptable for the price.

Good for the Money by Woodrow W. Younts "Books, etc." on amazon.com Jun 3, 2010
I was a little scared after reading some of the lower reviews and am convinced that they were made by people who have specialty needs that are better served by models that cost twice a much. Either that or they failed to read the instructions or product ...

Lowrance Endura Out&Back by FJS on amazon.com Mar 2, 2012
Once again I was let down by the Lowrance products. Being on a point on a Resort, this wonderful product showed me to be in the lake. While hiking, it showed no trails what so ever and put me between two lakes that were 15 miles apart. I was hiking on ...

save your time and money by Troy17814 on bestbuy.com Dec 1, 2010
I bought this GPS to use while hunting in the back country. The first time out, I was using it to track my route, when it went into stand by and the power button quit working. I'm lucky I wasn't relying on it too much. Save the time and just buy a Garmin

Can't See the Screen by outdoors person on amazon.com Jan 29, 2010
I just got my Out&Back. It is completely useless, as you can not see the screen outdoors in either the sun or shade. I have fresh batteries and backlight is turned all the way up. Instead of features such as touch-screen they shoud have made the screen ...

Lowrance Endura Out and Back by Gary Shilling on amazon.com Aug 7, 2009
Just received the unit and want to use it for hiking in the back country using topo maps. Instructions are absolutely minimal, telling how functions work, but not how to apply the unit. Tech support couldn't advise me how to download Nat.Geo.Topo maps ...

huge disapointment. by Mmh40 on bestbuy.com Oct 30, 2010
Can't wait to return it. Screens on literature not accurate or reprodusable. Cost an extra 90.00 for a downloaded map upgrade which is useless. Worst set of instructions and support out there. Don't bother!!

Amazon.com: Customer Reviews: Lowrance Endura Out&Back Waterproof Hiking GPS
I actually purchased mine based on recommendations from other users on the...forum...Always under 20 which is still pretty good for a sub-$200 GPS...Used to an older eTrex so the software is quite a bit different but I don't think different is bad in this case...

I'd have to get a lot of them to cover the common places I fish and hike...Not familiar with this line, but the Endura line really looks good on paper...Just one of my pet peeves about this unit...

Lowrance Endura Out&Back review | GPS Tracklog
This review was written by Troy Bryan, AKA StarBrand on geocaching.com’s Groundspeak forums...I dumped it my caching bag with my Oregon 200 and Colorado 300 and took it with me to give it a good workout anyway...It was especially bad in the mosquito invested heavy foliage found in Minnesota...

First off the out&back uses a microSD card so my old SD card is useless, so i bought a new lakemaster map in microSD format (lakemaster is now part of hummingbird so maps will soon not be available for other brands of GPS...The first out&back i bought had some of the plastic broken right out of the box...Saw another review that said this GPS was not accurate at all and had bad maps...It has really good maps for the money...

Lowrance rolls out Outback Safari Sierra GPS units -- Engadget
Appropriately (if unimaginatively) dubbed the Outback, Safari, and Sierra, these each boast 2.7-inch LCDs, along with a microSD card slot, all the usual outdoor-friendly GPS features, and some nifty additions like a barometric altimeter and 3D electronic compass on the higher end models...Appropriately (if unimaginatively) dubbed the Outback, Safari, and Sierra...I'll take those unimaginative names over stupid names like GPSXL2201Y, LSSO77PS, and OMGWTFBBQ...

Lowrance Endura Out-Back Reviews
I am disappointed that the two other reviews listed for the Out&Back are actually for other products...The Out&Back is the best GPS I have found for those wanting a GPS that is easy to learn and use and not pay a fortune for it...However, it did have good coverage of main landmarks like highways and roads, rivers, lakes, etc...

Lowrance Endura Out&Back - TexasBowhunter.com Community Discussion Forums
Does anyone have a Lowrance Endura Out&Back GPS...Wasn't sure how much I would use it so I went with the Out&Back instead of the Safari...It's waterproof but like all GPS products, I wouldn't recommend going diving with it or even let it sit too much in the pond...The Out&Back can only handle the pictures and I think the video capability would have been cool to see at the tree without having to go back home to see it...
