This projector replaced a $20K Sony large venue projector that was 9 years old and became too expensive to maintain. The NEC is a bit brighter than the Sony and seems to have equal picture quality. The Sony weighs 120 pounds and has 4 expensive bulbs. ...

Easy To Setup Energy Efficient Good Remote Intuitive Controls This projector replaced a $20K Sony large venue projector that was 9 years old and became too expensive to maintain...The NEC is a bit brighter than the Sony and seems to have equal picture quality...We are using it in conjunction with an external sound system so have not been able to evaluate the internal speaker system...
