I tried the 3D function and could not get the unit to read 3D discs in 3D. The manual is written poorly, the unit's setup feature is poor and the Onkyo customer support left a lot to be desired; I felt like they did not want to be bothered. I am on my way to purchased another brand unit.

It's a good thing because I don't think I would find any resolution if there was an issue with it...Both had crisper detail and an overall smoother image that I just couldn't get using Arcsoft 5 on my HTPC (even using their SIM-HD plugin...Seeing as I just cancelled the streaming option of my Netflix account and prefer actually watching good-quality video (hence buying a blu-ray player to play blu-rays?) I'm not losing any sleep over it not working...
