I have used this one in a machine shop enviroment with welding and grinding in the area, it is smoke, dirt, dust, and probably bulletproof. The unit is 10+ years old, and short of installing a color kit many years ago, has never been serviced other than ...

GREAT PRINTER by Rosalie295 on officedepot.com Jun 21, 2011
This is a very good printer and does the job I need. However, the only cartridge Office Depot has for this printer is an off brand which I refuse to purchase. This is a disappointment for me.

Panasonic KX-P1150 Dot Matrix Printer by iridger on pricegrabber.com Aug 4, 2003
I like this printer very much. For the type of printing I do, it is more than satisfactory. If I need something with a crisper print, I have another printer for that. But for the every day printing, this is a wonderful printer.

Below What I Expected by Investigator "Don" on amazon.com Jun 16, 2009
This printer does not have a true parallel port and didn't work with my lap top. I was unable to print anything so I cannot comment on the print quality or length of time the printer ribbon lasts.

It will not print labels correctly no matter what I've tried. Panasonic does not even recognize that that make dot matrix printers.

Amazon.com: Customer Reviews: Panasonic KX-P1150 240 CPS 9-Pin Parallel Printer
Use it at work and the last one lasted 8 years in the worst of conditions...This one is excellent, in the tradition of DOS...plug in, turn on, use and, unlike many other of this type, price is very good...My other printer had died and this was an exact replacement for it...

Newegg.com - Panasonic KX-P1150 240 x 216 dpi 9 pins Dot Matrix Printer
None - Wont get ripped off by ink scams propagated by all other printing technologies...Alot of my gripes are just dot-matrix tech in general, but the fact that panasonic couldnt write decent drivers so as to not make this so difficult, or to make it work with more than one paper in the tray, is really just bad engineering...Overall it looks neat and i like the fact im actually able to use the ink i paid for, but its just too much labor involved and the end product just isnt worth it...
