Returned this unit for replacement due to poor sound quality (noise heard from the receiver during calls) and the microphone would just cut off while in use. The replacement unit's handset number 2 would provide dial tone and voice through the speakerphone ...

The second handset was full of static and would not hold a caller on the line...panasonic service was so complex it was discouraging...staples gave me a new handset, however it wasn't compatible with the base...upshot...big waste of money...

This is the third Panasonic cordless we have owned and the worst one without any question. Returned for a full refund. Staples was great to work with and were happy to give me my money back.

I was looking for a phone with good reception that wouldn't have static around electronics, and these phones work great...The price was very good, it had all the features of my old phone except for the fact that the new phone had an answering machine with it, love the extra hand set, no need for an extra phone line, just plug it in to an outlet...The sound is ECO free and it's much better than even the cell phone, I recommend it because is so clear...
