The quality from this head unit is AMAZING! I normally would recommend always running speakers through a separate amp, but honestly (and as somewhat of nut about audio) you don't REALLY need one...The unit will play Pandora (with all its functionalities) if the USB is connected to an iPhone (which I don't recommend - the USB should be connected to a dedicated iPod...If it performed any commonly used function, I'd say it was a good idea, but it doesn't, its really just the fast forward/skip/rewind control...
