Purchased this item for use in home office. There is no static, but still has that echo of a speaker phone. I am disappointed because the system is very expensive. Perhaps you don't get what you pay for.

There is a lower cost model available that does not have the display...but I highly recommend the extra cost because the display makes it all the much better...Fully recommended, and they last years and years...If you spend a lot of time on teleconferences and have a private office, I highly recommend the Soundstation2 as an option for your office...
