super by Michael Beloved on amazon.com Dec 22, 2011
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program ( What's this? ) This is a classis GPS device. The size of the screen is nice as compared to the 3-4 inch units. We are still learning the features of this. You will have to sit down and go through ...

Best GPS by Andy on amazon.com Nov 11, 2011
I've had a Magellan and recently the Garmin 3790, factory navigation from GM (is a piece of junk) and the best GPS is the factory navigation from Infiniti, that is until now. RVND is by far the best and most intuitive GPS I've used, not to mention the ...

RV GPS by Rafael on amazon.com Jul 17, 2011
I was using a Garmin Nuvi 550. A great GPS, but it was not satisfactory for RV. It does not tell of truck stops, diesel fuel for a big rig, rest stops. tolls. avoid tunnels (carry LPG), bridge height, tolls, speed warning. The Rand McNally TripMaker GPS ...

Across America with the Rand 5510 by ETGT on amazon.com Dec 31, 2011
We traveled over 10k miles and over 6 months this year using the new Rand 5510 GPS System for RV's. This unit is far better than the Garmin Nuvi we were using, but there is a big difference. The Garmin is great for the car but not the RV, and the Rand ...

Good GPS for RV drivers by Carole A. Haywood "Techno Fan" on amazon.com Jul 27, 2011
We bought this GPS to make sure we could drive our 12'6" high, 56' long RV and car rig safely from New Jersey to Maine. It worked well. There is great comfort in knowing you are not going to meet a bridge which is too low or a road which is weight restricted. ...

Poor brightness and contrast. by G. Sharp "sharp1" on amazon.com Feb 15, 2012
The contrast and brightness of the display is not sufficient. The unit is almost unreadable on bright days (not direct sunlight) and almost impossible to see when one wears non polarized sunglasses. I think that Rand McNally has the right idea, but the ...

Save your money -- don't purchase this GPS unit by Suzy Q "Traveling the USA" on amazon.com Aug 3, 2011
I purchased this to use in my motorhome, and am extremely unhappy with how this unit works. Even when set for my motorhome, the routing has not been RV friendly, and has provided routes not appropriate for my big rig. The unit is not user friendly. ...

Don't waste your time by dddfort on amazon.com Jul 13, 2011
My Family has used Rand McNally Maps and Delorme GPS for years. We've also used the dell GPS with the v50 PDA, both worked fine. Sorry to say I found nothing easy or intuitive about this unit. It is bulky, expensive, they expect you to pay even more for ...

Poor Map functions by Gary Barnes "Birchcrossing" on amazon.com Jul 1, 2011
I thought the Rand McNally TripMaker RVND 5510 would be great for pulling my 5th wheel around the country. But after receiving it charging and downloading the map updates it showed many of the streets in my town positioned in the middle of the Mississippi ...

Major technical issues by Wayne Smith on amazon.com Sep 29, 2011
I've had mine for a year and here's what we got. It tries to route be down non truck routes while telling me the truck route is illegal for me. This is such a bad problem that even Interstate 25 in Denver Colorado is listed (according to this GPS) as ...

The user can enter specific RV type, weight, overall length and height to help the unit determine best rig specific routing...This is not a bad thing since the voice also tells you which lane to be in and how many more feet it will be and for 99 percent of the time it was completley accurate...Overall the unit got me from NJ to VA to MD to DC back to NJ accurately and without any problem...
