Like many LED backlit LCD's the power transformer is not inside the monitor. This one has a nice mounting spot for the box at the back of the monitor. I thought it would get in the way of wall mounting but it didn't in my case. It probably sticks out ...

Plenty of brightness, no dead pixels, LCD backlight means this monitor is cool to the touch and won't heat up your working space...Movies look good, though I haven't tried dropping the resolution down to 1080p yet...This monitor is marketed toward business and that's what I use it for but I don't see how it would be a bad choice for home...
