Great Product! by mreynolds on amazon.com Jun 11, 2012
Exactly what I needed to power my outdoor speakers. You can't beat the price and the sound quality is great. The unit is powering two Yamaha outdoor speakers (120 max input). Works perfectly, love it. I can hook up my Ipod and Computer with an extra ...

great receiver by bake on radioshack.com Dec 9, 2011
I bought this 2 year ago on Black Friday and have it on a shelf in the garage with a cd player connected to it. It is pretty durable because it's exposed to all kinds of temp and humidity changes and it fires up everytime I turn it on. I only have a 300 ...

Exellecent for price/performance by Brian on newegg.com Dec 14, 2009
I purchased mine at a local retailer (includes 'shack'). I normally use the remote so I don't push the buttons very often. This may prove and issue for some users. I'm running mine on some vintage Altec 887A Capri's. I changed to this amp from an old ...

Good product for the money. Aug 27, 2011
Easy to install and not to bad to operate, once you get use to the remote control.

Junk by John B on amazon.com Jun 6, 2012
Initially the receiver was unable to retain preset FM stations in memory. Later it began to loose volume until no sound sources could be heard from the receiver. I exchanged the unit for anther brand that has worked very well.

Not the greatest considering the price by twaine on radioshack.com Jan 27, 2012
LED; some LCD letters abt 4pt font - terrible. Programming AM/FM: Documentation not specific enough; had to figure it out on my own. FM reception not nearly as good as the unit it's replacing using the same antenna without changes although I do like ...

FM receiver is very bad in strong signal metro area. by guyyag on cnet.com May 9, 2008
The FM receiver overloads and other strong channels overpower the channel I wish to listen to. so I get 2 channels at one time. A second channel I tried was less than 5 miles away and a strong signal on other receivers would not come in at all. I did not try any of the other functions.

Worthless by N/A on newegg.com Jan 14, 2010
Aside from the whole "defective" thing it was a pretty good receiver while it lasted. If you're willing to take a chance on it then it might give you good value for your money...or it might break after a week like mine did.

Amazon.com: Customer Reviews: Sherwood RX-4105 100 Watt Stereo Receiver (Black)
The tuner is exceptionally good; I am surprised at the success I'm having with it in a poor reception area, with only the antennas that are supplied...Weak stations need the use of a good antenna to pull in the signal...Reception by this unit is very good...

I was going to use it to drive Polk Monitor 70 speakers, because I thought my Onkyo wouldn't be powerful enough, but the Onkyo actually does very well, the Sherwood didn't make them sound good at all...Aside from the whole "defective" thing it was a pretty good receiver while it lasted...If you're willing to take a chance on it then it might give you good value for your money...or it might break after a week like mine did...

Sherwood's RX-4109 is a brilliantly designed stereo receiver for the price you pay...Internally, the RX-4109 has a clean design with a strong power supply section...Using the supplied antenna (this is recommended), with proper positioning, I am pulling in stations from as far as 60 miles away--including stations that I could not retrieve with a much more expensive stand alone tuner with any antenna...
