There are plenty of better-written reviews discussing this, so I'll keep it short. These speakers have no mid range. I'm less disappointed in the speakers themselves than the fact that the market has been geared toward speakers with too much bass being considered a quality product.

They sound really good with my powered sub and Yamaha HTR 5930 receiver...These speakers are especially good for if you are looking for surround sound speakers and they are also good if you just want one set of speakers for watching TV...I would definitely recommend buying these speakers (but avoid Circuit City because they charge a restocking fee if you are returning them...
