I love this recever it's more advanced than my old one it also has a lot more to it than you see at first.There are thirteen chanels of surround sound to chose from.IF you decide to get one read up on it becuse the speacker oms have to match and if they do not you'll be buying new speakers that do.

It would be nice if there was a way to cut down on the number of AM/FM presets in the list so you don't have to cycle through 25 stations when you only have about 7 or 8 on your list (sometimes the wife strands the FM preset position deep into the un-programmed ...

Had a Tech Receiver, which went out after 10 years. Wish it still was working!! Thought I would give Sony a try..NO A/B speakers, button don't light up so you can not see in the dark if you need to adjust something. Sound is NOT great. I would not recommend ...

I bought this at the end of August. It was very easy to set up and sounded great. Three months later it reboots itself every three minutes when we're watching cable. I tried several inputs etc. and nothing. Still trying to figure out what to do with my $300 paper weight

I've owned this receiver for less than 6 months, and I have to say it really doesn't live up to the Sony name...In summary, if you want to avoid the pain of frequently troubleshooting problems with your receiver I recommend you purchase another product...All and all very hapy and sounds good...

There is a lot of complexity to the unit because it has many features and flexibility, so it may take awhile to learn everything about it...It is actually a good idea since the wires will be pulled out of the spring clips if someone trips over them and will reduce damage to the receiver being pulled by the wires if this happens...If you turn the unit to standby (OFF#, then you can use the coax input on the TV to watch cable...

I got this in April/May of this year so I've put it through a few paces...I'm no audiophile and I don't have premium speakers so I can't be relied upon for sound quality reviews, but for features and manufacturing quality I can vote this one as pretty good...To be honest, the system may actually have this feature already but I haven't found it so far......
