This GPS works well for me. It is not too big and it still gets me between places. The updates have been helpful and it seems to figure things out and connect to the satellites quickly.

Used it right out of the box. No problems downloading the map update and the numerous (daily) MapShare updates, and QuickGPSFix is also another weekly update. I don't understand people who have trouble with this unit, having to delete languages, etc. ...

I recommend the lane assist feature in this GPS unit...I was still a good quarter of a mile away...The mount is great so far, very solid -Routing quality is very good Bad things (some duplication vs above): -Screen completely washes out with sunlight -Zeros are often omitted on spoken directions...

I have the model Go720 that can be converted into the 740 by firmware updates...They have the new "Easy Menus" that remove almost all of the menus for customizing the TomTom display options, safety prefs and many other settings that make TomTom so appealing when compared to other brands...As with all GPS units sometimes they will be off a little on exact address locations but with TomTom you can make corrections that then become a part of their Mapshare option that will then download to any user who wants them...
