This is my second Tom-Tom. I will tell you that I always have a few problems with them out of the box. Now they work fine it's just the smaller things. Get hold of Support, they are great and solve all your problems. The maps work fine, love the spoken ...

Just what I needed by hoffaa on bestbuy.com Aug 18, 2011
This GPS works well for me. It is not too big and it still gets me between places. The updates have been helpful and it seems to figure things out and connect to the satellites quickly.

Great & Easy To Use GPS by Book Reader "Book Reader" on amazon.com Jul 12, 2011
Used it right out of the box. No problems downloading the map update and the numerous (daily) MapShare updates, and QuickGPSFix is also another weekly update. I don't understand people who have trouble with this unit, having to delete languages, etc. ...

Nervous about product due to reviews but LOVE IT! by Ellester on amazon.com Dec 27, 2010
I purchased this item because it was a Black Friday deal -- only $76, but was a bit nervous due to the reviews. This product is awesome. I pulled it out of the box, pluged it into my car lighter and off we went. I didn't even need to read the directions ...

Terrible GPS by MMS2 on bestbuy.com Jul 2, 2011
I think if you really depend on a GPS to get somewhere do not use this one. Display: too small could not see the names at all. Directions given were a little confusing. Addresses were not easy to enter compared to Garmin. I like Garmin better. I did not ...

Product was not what I expected. I was disappointed in what I receive with this product. Part of the information for the product was missing.

Really feel sort of hoodwinked by rather be blue "blue" on amazon.com Jul 9, 2011

This GPS doesn't get you there by G Patrick on amazon.com Feb 4, 2011
Very disappointed with this GPS. Each time we have used it we turn to our old Garmin to get us there. This thing only knows one distance, "after 1/4 mile turn.." but it is never 1/4 mile. It may be .15 miles or .20 miles but never .25 miles. The last ...

I have the model Go720 that can be converted into the 740 by firmware updates...They have the new "Easy Menus" that remove almost all of the menus for customizing the TomTom display options, safety prefs and many other settings that make TomTom so appealing when compared to other brands...As with all GPS units sometimes they will be off a little on exact address locations but with TomTom you can make corrections that then become a part of their Mapshare option that will then download to any user who wants them...
