Uniden DECT4096

Excelent phone! I love it! Perfect reception, you can buy extra receivers, good quality, built in easy to use answering machine. I haven't used all the extra features, but overall I'm extremely happy with it!

I needed a multi-line telephone with a cordless handset capability. The phone is used for a Verizon and a SIP line coming from a private PBX. The voicemail feature is great, but for my application, is not needed. The CID feature is a plus as I can see the caller by selecting a line.

I found the Uniden very easy to set up. Registering the cordless phones (I have seven also purchased from Amazon) was very simple and quick. Sound quality and range are exceptional. The directory (address book) is set up on the phone console then broadcast ...

I have had these phones for about 2 years. Worked great at first, now random handsets seem to have problems getting a decent signal to the base unit. Even when they are only 10 feet away I have one bar of connection and can not place a call or answer ...

I am going to trash this as soon as I pick a replacement.

Purchased the system in sep/09 expecting to expand it with a couple of handsets, but it's unreliable on the 2nd floor and lately the handset is not able to connect to the base when using the speakerphone...

It is almost all good, and the bits that are not great are not really it's fault...All of the configuration is done through on screen menus, and Uniden made good use of the display...Nothing but good to say about the handsets...

The range is good for my purposes...The display is almost unreadable - blue on gray, with funky little icons - need bright light and reading glasses to guess at what I am seeing...Causes interference with my Logitech speakers ( a bad hum) and makes my Plantronics cordless headset unusable...
