Completely happy with these by Phil on amazon.com May 26, 2011

YAMAHA(it's a japanese company) makes many products, for example, ICs, pianos, keyboards, audio products. The YAMAHA's best audio product is NS-1000M, a book-shelf speaker. NS-1000M is the best speaker made in Japan in the history. Unfortunately, NS-1000M ...

Amazon.com: Customer Reviews: Yamaha NS-333 2-Way Bass Reflex Bookshelf Speakers...
These speakers are also known to have a slightly recessed mid frequency output, but overall they sound very good for the money...I highly recommend these speakers, as they are probably the best bang-for-your-buck you'll find...They sounded nearly as good as the Titans, but lacked a bit of, I guess I'd call it "fullness" that the Paradigms had...

good hi ends probably too loud at the begining and look not a deep bass I bought this speakers on Ebay, for $114, this are a good looking speakers, I think they match wherever you put them...Anyway, yamaha says that this speakers are designed for surround use, but for a small room like mine(12x14) , they are just ok to be used as a front speaker...

Yamaha NS-333 Bookshelf Speakers Reviews
These are a very good bookshelf speaker, that is not only good looking, with a piano finish, but easy to drive and listen to...I have been driving these speakers with a Trends T10.1, which delivers 10W a channel, and rarely have to crank the volume knob past a quarter of a turn to achieve good listening levels in a room 4 metres by 3.5 metres...As noted in a previous review the speakers are not able to grind out deep bass, but this is not a problem in most situations, and overall they are able to produce a good rounded sound, that is not tiring to listen to with no shrills or edginess...

Athena AS-B1.2 vs Yamaha NS-333 on ES receiver - Agoraquest - Sony Forum News Reviews
Has anyone compared the above speakers with an ES receiver...I was wondering if the Athena AS-B1.2 might warm up the sound a bit since they are a bit larger...I've read a lot about the AS-F2.2, but not much about the AS-B1.2...If the AS-B1.2's are even close to the original model they are a very nice full sounding speaker with plenty of tight bass and sound extremely clean...It says they are good down to 60hz...
