Very musical...very beautiful...very good! Too cheap!!!! I have written more than review on these speakers...Constructed of hardwood and only the finest materials, there is nothing you can play on this system that doesn't sound good...And I'm sorry, but you can't dismiss that the NS-555's, with thier eliptical shape and the high gloss grand piano finish is worthy of some kind of award, because they look evrey bit as good as they sound...

Yamaha has made some excellent speakers previously and is noted for producing excellent studio as well as music hall speakers, their musical instruments are in great demand so they seem to have a handle on the idea of what sounds good...Internally wired with Monster Cable, Bi-wire/amp and Banana plug ready these speakers are very, very good...How good,with out going into too much detail...

Excellent speaker for the money, extremely good looks, not noticeable with the grill on none These speakers are spectacular excellent imaging there are no "spots" where the cabinet vibrates and makes unwanted noise...Very musical, Very good looking and rich deep base! So cheap that audiophiles may look past a great system! And I do mean budget price...My only fear was that the waveguide horns would impair the ambience of the sound but now I can ensure you that it's not that bad...

These speakers are highly recommended for those looking for an excellent speaker with an entry level price...That said, the NS-555s are a darn good speaker for the money! They do not compare to $3500.00 speakers but you will be hard pressed to find a better speaker for less than $1000.00/pr new...I believe that the Yamahas represent a fantastic value...I recommend them very highly...

They had a good dynamics and a big soundstage that reminded me of my Klipsch...I have heard them not bad but the bass was a little thin for my taste, and yes they do look good! I prefer the Athena's (AS-F2 & AS-1) over everything BB has to offer far as speakers...I also thought considering, the bass as very good, as for the Monster Cable I really don't what to get into that debate but I know cable can make a tremendous difference depending on how critical you are...

I just bought a pair of the NS-555 and unforthanly one of them was busted on delivery...the top and bottom are made from very solid and tick MDF ( sometimes stronger and more heavy than hard wood ( my expriance come from working with mdf as a carpentar , work very very well when a smooth finish is wonted...I am a believer because I have heard it here and several times at a good friends houses with a number of top of the line for the high end of the mid level audiophile speakers, such as the Chapman's a good friend has just installed...The NS-555 are sounding better and when completely broken in should be pretty awesome in my living room especially at the price I got them for they represent high quality and a great value...

BestBuy in my area just built a theater room and they are selling their Klipsch F1 L/F and C1 Center from the old demo setup...I listened to the new F1 - F3's installed in the theater room and they sounded great...I had the B-1 which are the smaller size woofer than the F1, I believe, but it still filled my room plenty and sounded well as far as I could tell...

I just don't know how so much speaker can be purchased for so little money! These speakers are the bargain of the year...First let me say that the NS-555's are a very, very good speaker system...I definately reccomend them to anyone who is considering buying a good set of tower speakers for around $500...

Great on DVD's, Wonderfully Musical and Killer Looks! I have owned the Yamaha NS-555 speakers for about six months...These speakers are the perfect addition to a Yamaha receiver...The Yamaha NS-555 speakers fail to transport me to audio bliss...Surprisingly good sound for the price...
