I installed these speaker in my screen porch that overlooks a deck. These speakers do the job for background music while entertaining, and they fare well when you crank up the volume.

I did not expect that these would turn out to be so very bad. The sound quality was of average and during the last winter the speakers stopped working all of a sudden. They broke and are completely unusable now.

Seeing as the speakers will be outside, I don't recommend the usual cheap, thin speaker cable that you normally see...I hooked the Yamahas up to a Marantz 2240B receiver from the '70s and good God almighty, the sound is absolutely fantastic! Bass, you ask...This system sounded so good that we ended up sitting outside until well after dark...
