I've seen used ones for about the same price as the new ones...use a cart or something with wheels.The sound is great cuts through alot of stage volume...the monitor is made very road worthy a little on the heavy side...

Yamaha SM15 Club Speakers + Cheap Power Amp?
square wave clipping in an amp will do it pretty good too...You'll outgrow that small mixer sure, but it can find a very good home as a drum submixer or monitor mixer...mismatched impedance causing output discrepencies without the operator realizing it, which leads to amplifier distortion and voicecoil overheating is a pretty good way to kill your speakers...
