this is a good enough sub for most uses. however this sub will not work well without cabin gain. large and open rooms need larger woofers, for a medium to large room, and for music use, a subwoofer in each corner is best, so 4 total, two at opposite corners ...

TheYamaha subwoofer, YSTSW216BL is easy to install and makes a great sound. The only downside is the onoff switch and the volume control are on the back of the speaker and not so easy to reach.
