Least expensive Powerline available by N/A on newegg.com Jun 23, 2010
These are a great value for the money! You simply cannot find a 200 Mbps powerline adapter for $25 that has 4 ethernet ports and wireless. You can use each one as a powerline adapter. No need to purchase the cube adapters. Second, TCP/IP packets jump ...

Good router, but be sure to update firmware... by Shea on amazon.com Apr 24, 2009
This router works pretty well. The actual router appears to be well built, but it's a little lightweight. It also runs slightly hot so make sure you keep it in a well vented area. The wireless is solid too compared to my netgear router which kept giving ...

ZyXEL NBG-318S 200 Mbps Powerline HomePlug AV 802.11g Wireless Router Both the wireless and home plug networks work great. Setup was smooth. The homeplug technology is really cool. I networked a computer in an upstairs bedroom using homeplug - the ...

I am glad that I bought this router. by H. Chang "crystal dream" on amazon.com Mar 6, 2008
A new wireless router with powerline built in. I save $60.00 right there. The wireless speed is pretty good. It covers two bedrooms in our apartment with strong signal. I bought another HomePlugAV adapter from the same company and connect to the XBOX ...

Features for price, a great value. Some gotchas (e.g. heat, setup) ... but still 5 stars by M. K. Mcgregor "Everything electronic!" on amazon.com Apr 16, 2009
These units provide great flexibility; 4 port switch (3 LAN and one WAN, or 4 LAN depending on the mode of the unit), 200Mbps HomeLan (electrical wiring), and finally wireless G (yes, I would prefer N, but for less than $30?) Units function well, but ...

Barely working by mello8 on amazon.com May 18, 2011
Nothing but trouble with this unit. Constantly needing rebooting and poor performance connecting to a PLA-470. Even Zyxel's replacement would not recognize the other Zyxel powerline units and was returned. Zyxel eventually sent me a NBG-419N router and ...

COMPLETE waste of time & money by boombitznova2k on cnet.com Nov 10, 2010
Originally purchased for my parents according to its "ease of use". I'm quite tech-saavy, but all of us spent MANY hours with Tech Support (8a-5p Pacific, not helpful for us in NJ) but the unit flat-out WILL NOT WORK unless you're within spitting distance. ...

both units lost HomePlug within 3 months by sharma on newegg.com Jan 18, 2011
Learnt the hard way -- it is better to spend money on some reliable wireless dongle. Just wasted some seventy bucks on these two units and lots of time figuring out the issues!!

They work great... by Jim C on amazon.com Jan 15, 2011
...for a few months. I bought a kit that included the NBG-318S and PLA-400 together back in March. I used them to replace a wireless bridge connecting computers in two different rooms. The speed is good, I get about 50Mbps actual speed, and they are ...

DO NOT BUY!!! by C. Conde "Cherry Killer" on amazon.com Feb 6, 2010
I wanted to expand my network at home (Wireless and Wired), therefore Zyxel NBG-318S sounded very good and even better at $35.00 per unit here in Amazon. I bought 3 units. Setup is easy and functionality is not bad, on the other hand the 3 units stop ...

Amazon.com: Customer Reviews: ZyXEL NBG-318S 200 Mbps Powerline HomePlug AV 802.11g...
However, I got pretty good service from ZyXel: they replaced BOTH units under warranty...I bought this unit to set up a Homeplug network connection to a home entertainment system that's poorly located for Wifi access, and after some fiddling I'm getting very good performance out of it, nearly 40Mb/sec in real-world circumstances...I don't think there's any way around the trial and error approach if you want to get good performance out of these things...

Agree with first reviewer completely, wish I read it before purchasing...Might be a good product if it worked as advertised, without having to spend endless hours troubleshooting with minimal tech support...No desire to screw around another month with customer support, followed by 3-4 weeks shipping times to get the system working...

Newegg.com - ZyXEL NBG318S Wireless Powerline Router Up to 200Mbps
The powerline adapter part seems to OK as devices get detected automatically and data rates seem to be good...Connection speeds are good, but I did have to try different outlets for the best connection speeds...In retrospect, even at $109 this would have been a good deal...

I thought it might be a bad unit, so I switched to the other one...It seems that somehow it's management of NAT connections was so bad that its tables were getting overloaded with stale entries...I wanted to expand my network at home (Wireless and Wired), therefore Zyxel NBG-318S sounded very good and even better at $35.00 per unit here in Amazon...Setup is easy and functionality is not bad, on the other hand the 3 units stop working in less than a year...
